Sport play an important role in my life. I`m good at tennis and ping-pong, sometimes I`m taking part in table tennis competitions and this week I am going to take part in last table tennis competition of this season. Before this time I`ve never won the competition but I hope that will be the first competition I have ever won!
   Many people throughout the world go in for sport, as keeping yourself feet helps you in your every day affairs. Today in Russia the most popular sports and games are: football, volleyball, basketball and biathlon.In Britatain:  cricket, rugby, golf, tennis. As for me, I prefer tennis, biathlon and volleyball.

1. Tennis. Tennis was first played in England in 1872, whose first championship was at Wimbledon. This is a boom sport in Russia and the country`s best compete against foreign stars in Moscows Kremlin Cup, held each autumn. The most prestigious championships in tennis calls  "Grand slam". This championships are:Wimbledon (England),  Roland Garros (France),  Australian Open (Australia) and US Open (USA). The most popular tennis player in Russia is Maria Sharapova. Now she is ex first racket of the world.
2. Biathlon. The first World shampionship in biathlon was held in 1958 in Austria, and in 1960 the sport was finally included in the Olympic Game in 1992. Nowadays biathlon very popular in Russia. On Russian TV  there is the biggest program in the world about biathlon "Biathlon with Dmitry Guberniev". Under the text  you can see the video of the best finish of the season.
